Alexander Paul Gütter studied architecture and urban planning as well as historical building research and monument preservation in Potsdam and Berlin. He wrote his master's thesis at the Technical University of Berlin under Prof. Dr. Thomas Drachenberg on the structural and art-historical research of the Hoffmann mausoleum at the Wilmersdorf forest cemetery in Güterfelde. The author now works for the German Foundation for the Protection of Monuments.
