Malin Winter studied cultural studies, history and public history. As part of the research for her bachelor's thesis "Black and White Images. Media Representation of Colonial Content Using the Example of Selected Forms of Presentation in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg District", she was part of the curatorial team of the exhibition "Research Workshop: Colonial History" at the Schöneberg Museum.
