Sina Knopf studied art and cultural history at the Universities of Augsburg, Stockholm and Berlin and is currently doing her doctorate at the University of Zurich on the international art market under National Socialist influence and the translocation of cultural assets during the Second World War. She is a doctoral student in a research project on the Swiss art trade at the Swiss Institute for Art Studies (SIK-ISEA) and a researcher on provenance research and restitution, Nazi art policy, cultural property protection and the international art market. Until December 2021, she worked as a freelance art historian and provenance researcher on various Berlin art and cultural projects.
