Imke Küster studied philosophy and art history in Göttingen and Berlin. Since 2010 she has been a freelance museum educator with a focus on Berlin history, Nazi history and modern history. In her student projects, she combines historical topics with theatre pedagogical approaches and artistic stylistic devices. In addition to her work as a museum educator, she also developed participation and hands-on stations for the various houses of the Stadtmuseum Berlin. Together with Claudia Wasow-Kania, head of the Department of Education and Outreach at the Museum Reinickendorf, she curated the "interventions" on selected objects from the permanent exhibition with regard to their colonial history.
