Anna von Rath studied at the University of Potsdam, the English and Foreign Languages University in Hyderabad, and the University of Westminster in London. In 2019, she completed her PhD as part of the Research Training Group minor cosmopolitanisms. Her publications deal with ecocriticism, travel literature, and German colonial history. In 2022, her book Afropolitan Encounters. Literature and Activism in London and Berlin was published. After many years as a research assistant at the University of Potsdam, she now works as a freelance translator, editor, social justice and diversity trainer. In 2020, she launched the platform poco.lit. for postcolonial literature.
